Our Corporate Philosophy

Responsibility with foresight: As a fifth-generation family business, we think long-term. We develop and produce textiles that meet the high quality requirements of our customers. At the same time, we consider the impact of our actions on the environment, employees, and society. For us, responsibility means looking closely: at our processes, the use of resources, and the upstream and downstream stages of our value creation. We examine the relevant impacts of our business activities and derive measures from them, continuously developing our processes. In doing so, we adhere to legal requirements as well as recognized standards and frameworks in the textile industry.

Quality and responsible action go hand in hand: Our requirements begin with the selection of materials and extend through our production processes to the finished textile. For us, quality means not only meeting technical and customer-specific requirements. The conscious use of resources, as well as environmental and safety aspects, are also incorporated into our processes.

Developing together: The advancement of our sustainability topics is not the task of a single department. The company management sets the strategic framework, while employees from various company divisions contribute their expertise and experience to implementation and further development. We also seek exchange beyond Kettelhack. Through our participation in industry associations and expert committees, we contribute experience and monitor how standards and requirements in the textile industry evolve.

Measurable, verified, traceable: Our management and environmental processes are structured by established management systems. Kettelhack is certified according to EMAS, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and OEKO-TEX® STeP. We also disclose our environmental activities and their classification in our validated environmental statement. We do not see these systems as an endpoint. They provide us with a framework for setting goals, reviewing developments, and continuously improving our processes.
